Need feedback on possibly selling my 99.5
I have a 99.5 1.8qtms, with 76,000 miles.
Options:
trip computer
santorin w/ecru leatherette
cold weather package
sport package
The car has been chipped at 15K with APR.
I still have the original ECU.
Should I try to sell privately or take the
hit trading it in at the dealer? I am
somewhat in a hurry.
Should I take out the APR chip and sell it
seperately?
The car does have a few issues:
1. driver's seat leatherette has a rip
due to frequent use
2. rear bumper has some scratches, needs
to be repainted
3. wind noise on driver's door, I need to
realign the window frame before selling.
Ideally I want to keep it for 2 more years,
but my wife wants to trade it for an
(expensive) Honda Pilot. She promised I
could get another Audi in a bout two years.
The car drives great. I just have a feeling that
I would not get too much for it.
I appreciate any feedback.

your wife wants a Pilot..lol, why doesn't she buy it herself?
You have to give up your car so she can drive an ugly SUV around? It's not even one of the more stylish SUV's out there. If she wants one, what's disabling her to buy one.. is she a stay at home wife? Tell her to get a job! You shouldn't have to give up your car so she can buy a mini-van, you guys should buy a 2nd vehicle (the Pilot) and have her pay for it, or at least parts. It's one thing to buy your wife a car, it's another for your wife to demand you sell your AUDI, so she can buy what she wants. She's obviously just thinking of herself...

We do have two cars....
The other car only has 33,000 so it is not
the best option probably to get rid of
that one.
She does have a job. I work from home
so I only drive the audi 5000 miles/year
lately.

no $hit, right? .. basic woman trick.. 2 years comes and goes..
2 years is a bunch of BS, so she can stall your decision, maybe she thinks he will be out of cars by then. I'd say straight up.. I ain't selling my car woman! hit tha streetz if you want a pilot.. but I ain't sellin you my ride ho (jerry springer style)

not the best option to ret rid of that one..bahahahaha.. she said that didn't she?
so you have 1 car and she has 1 car, great. Now the wifey will have 2 cars! She should sell the 33,000 mile one. why doesn't she just keep driving it? Lemme guess, its not that great of a car, she wants you stuck with it.. so she can buy herself a brand new Honda Pilot.. Lemme ask you this, why did you buy this "33,000 mile car", so it can never be sold..lol? Better to sell a ****ter with lower miles while ya can. Be a man, keep the Audi.

Actually the Audi requires 2K to fix it up.
Paint the rear bumper, fix the driver's
seat, and it is time to replace the
timing belt, tensioners, waterpump, etc...
Our other car is a 205hp Saab, still under
warranty, and no issues at all. Selling it
now, means we would lose $9,000 on it.
The A4/S4 is really too small, now if the
A6 redesign was already available, it
would be the best solution.
