Need help audi a4
Hi,
I have Audi A4 1.9 TDI 1996.09.09
I will try to be quick, one lucky day i was driving down the road, and my Fan Belt(which connects generator as well)
broke down. So i just stopped, turn of the egnition(because car didnt gone off after belt broke down). Identified
what happend and left the car alone. After i got a good belt to replace. I put that belt on. Then i realised that batery is not good enought to start the car, so i just changed battery. Then tryed to run my
car again. BUT it didn't worked out. First time i tryed run car the motor was turning but not working. I tryed once
more, then the rev counter lifted up to 9 then just overturned and stucked in to clock.Car was not running anyway. So at this moment i understand that something is realy wrong and just gave up to fix car.
Anyone any suggestions?
I had a short consultancy with mechanic and he said: "timing could be not good, because then fan belt broke down,
piece of it could stuck under timing belt, and timing belt at the moment could slip and timing would at that moment be gone.
How would i check it?
I have another version which sais: "Because you changed batteries the mobiliser(or some other security unit) dont let you to start the car"
How i would i check this or fix?
Thanks in advance

Re: If your timing belt broke you need to get the car to a mechanic and
no it is not broken, thats the fact it is in good condition. I would know what to do if it would be broken, but it is not.
