Default new audi guy here, few questions, hope im not redundant

hey there all. Long time subaru owner and racer, new to the audi game. lots look similar, yet so much is different. ok, anyways, heres what I got. It is a 1997 A4 V6 Quattro. How do i tell if it is a 30V or a 12V? I have 85K on it, im the second owner, I want to do simple stuff like an intake, exhaust, chip, etc, just to overcome the heft of the vehicle (im used to a 2600lb track subaru). also, the manual says I either have a 172hp or a 190hp engine, but no way to tell which! Please help me!

Default Start with these places.

www.ecstuning.com
www.pes-tuning.com
www.awetuning.com
www.evoms.com

I think you'll want to get the supercharger if you want to be competitive. Otherwise, it's a great car. Welcome.

Default Check the 12v forum

No chip or supercharger for 12V.Need to do it the old way. Checkout UrS4 he sells mods (intake, velocity stack, MAF, throttle body shouls give 30-40 hp.

12v forum

Default Try this:

Go here and take a look around. You'll come across some performance-enhancing mods that you can do for relatively little money.

A few things to mod/improve/replace:

-air intake
-throttle body
-intake manifold
-exhaust
-electric fan kit

Or you can add big valve heads, if you have money to spend... ;-)
