Default not making boost

Previous owner hacked the hell out of intake system. the airbox is out and it goes to a u-shape then a K&N air filter. the guy put a MAF from a '99 jetta and spliced a new plug in to fit the MAF. My friend just wrecked his car and we are taking parts off so i could put it back to stock since i heard it wasn't too healthy to have a boost controller in an AUDI. I tried to disconnect the Greddy boost controller that he had put in the car as well. He took out the tubing that goes to the N75 and rigged it to the Greddy boost "N75" thing... anyone following? anyways i tried to put it back to stock. i still need the stock turbo inlet hose and tubing to get it totally stock, i have the air box and mass air flow sensor. anyways my car is not creating boost anymore without greddy boost controller connected. I noticed that there was a plug on the Greddy "n75" not sure if thats what its called. the plug is left unplugged i dont know where it goes. sorry if im leaving a major amount of info out. I am at work and am barely getting enough time to squeeze this problem out. any help? thnx

Default if the N75 is unplugged the boost will be regulated by the wastegate on the turbo. This will yield 5

PSI. You need the N75 to be in working order and plugged in for it to boost over 5 PSI. (I know this because my N75 failed and I was only getting 5 PSI), unplugged it, still 5, replaced it, but not plugged in 5 psi, finally plugged it in and 18 psi (K04). So that is likely your problem. Find the electrical part that plugs into the N75, shouldnt be too hard, should be lying around that area somewhere, unless previous owner cut it out or something...
