Oil Filter Cooler at fknorthamerica.com
I was just curious to see if anyone has any input on oil filter coolers. There is one I saw on fknorthamerica.com for $29.95.
I did a search, but found mostly s4 fitment problems.
Ever since getting the GIAC chip installed, my oil temperature is obviously running slightly higher than normal, and I am looking for a good cost effective solution.
Any input would be greatly appreciated, the link is below if you need it.

http://www.fknorthamerica.com/products.php?crn=39&rn=361&action=show_det ail</a

What's "higher than normal"?
Either your oil temp is normal, or something is wrong. Those silly things aren't the solution...they just look pretty when you're crawling around on a cold concrete floor.

Re: *** bite...anyone not pms'ing tonight?
Well, he kinda has a point. If you want something that will actually cool your oil temps start here.

http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/ProductDisplay?prrfnbr=3514&prmenbr=361</a

If his point was being a dick, you are right.
He could have said those coolers don't do ****, what you want to be thinking is this...
Anyways, thanks for the link!

Put your little d!ck away for a minute, and put your 3 brain cells together...
I did suggest that those items are decorative pieces more than they are functional.
I did ask you a direct question, which you did not answer.
The answer to that question might have led me to say:
*your oil temps are normal
*those oil temps are too high, here are some things you should look at
You didn't answer the question, you simply restated what was mentioned in your original question. We can read...we already know it's "higher than what it normally is". Unless you help us, how can we help you?
The link to the oil cooler that lost in beer country posted is actually a functional oil cooler, however unncessary on a normally functioning car that's used on the street. Where it does come in handy is on the track, under extreme conditions. However if you want to buy that too, we won't stop you.

not to start a flame war...but why wouldnt it work
If using a poor mans oil cooler theory by using a bigger filter to cool the oil, using more oil being circulated through, hence cooler wouldn't an alumunium heatsink also work in the same regards. (most of this is refrence to computers) but it would work right? Not the best, not like true oil cooler setup but it would work, maybe have a degree, maybe less but in theory it would work by dispitating heat from the oil filter.
Or maybe I am completly wrong.

take it with a grain of salt. RKA is almost always helpful. That's how I took his first reply to your post......"Those silly things aren't the solution".....
