Default Oil pan protect

I was wonder what some of you guy do to protect your oil pans from being hit. My A4 has been lowered about 3 inches I think. And I just cracked my oil pan the other day. And I would like to not have it happen again. I have seen some skid plate online. But I would like to if any of you have these and what you think about. But no matter what I will be getting a skid plate for it. I just want hear what you guys think.

Raise the car to a reasonable height.

I like how they package it to ship: They slap a label on it and out it goes.

Default DIY skid plate works in place of the plastic belly pan. PITA for oil changes. raise the car.

it probably rides like crap bouncing off of the bump stops anyway

You make it sound like you have personal experience with the plate.

Default He makes it sound like we all know its pretty much the only real option for protecting

the engine compartment of our car, well that or making your own skid plate. Raz him when he does wrong, not at your own leisure!
