Default I'm considering this if I bust my W8 pan

Its VW stuff but the B5/5.5 one should work without much issue. They also have an A4 opne for $10 more. Thicker than DeiselGeeks.

Linkarino

Convincing video. Not arguing, but why not just go w/ panzer that is made for B5 A4? Same price...

Default Edit ,They both use bolts to attach, but the Evolution one is thicker

Did you notice that my link shows they have a Passat and Audi one but the Audi plate is $10 extra ? Thickness is .191 (3/16th) instead of .125 (1/8th),more protection again, same price.

Default Honestly, I haven't looked closely at either (about attaching them). I just figured they both

attached using the standard hardware. I guess a little thicker would make sense given what its purpose is, but something tells me 1/16" will be sufficient to protect the oil pan from anything you will hit, so that extra 1/32nd is kind of irrelevant to me.

Then again, no reason to go w/ the panzer just cause first one we heard of. Same price, apparently more bang for your buck, I await reviews.

IF you guys go to their site there is one listed for the b5 a4. But I might get the evolution plate. Just because it will cost me a little less. But both of them look good to me. Here is the link for it.

Default The A4 plate is $10 more at Evolution ,heres some reasoning

If it fits all Passats to 2005 . The W8 pan fits out A4 models ,that means these will too. I can't figure why they have two different ones ,and besides the difference couldn't be enough to prevent the Passat parts usage. They even use the same picture. They may just be getting another few $ from Audi owners.
