Default Good news?...and bad news...

Its warming up a little. We are about 0 now. Due to get up to 20 by tomorrow and hold there for the week. Guess thats the good news, Bad new is I woke up with snow falling and my work area rapidly filling up with snow haha.
Plugs are out. Engin has sat all night. Im going to give it some time to dry out today and maybe get some new plugs. I think ill change the CTS also cause someone said thats the reson the car is flooding. Not sure what else I can do without and better environment to work in. Its driving me crazy.
I have never tested compression, not sure how I would go about that and i just dont think I trust myself to be able to pore oil into my cylinders.

Default CPS? (not sure what a CTS is)

the 30V AHA will start with either one of the 2 CPS removed...just been through that. 2 bad CPS will prevent the coils from sparking.

use a paper or plastic funnel to get a tablespoon of oil in any given cylinder...right down the spark plug hole. I wouldn't worry about contaminating the cats with that little bit of oil. most of it will shoot right back out the spark plug hole on the compression stroke.

Default Coolant Temp Sensor..

Most often when they fail, the problem is warm starts, not ice cold starts..

Default What are the CPS's? Do you really think I should try this oil in cylinders? ...

Walk me through this please. I get the, poor one table spoon of oil in the spark plug holes.
Then Put in new plugs and try to start it? Im just not cristal clear enough to attempt this.

SO have we rule out changing the CTS?

Default yeah, nothing came up in VAG-COM and agree with Kris how could the CTS be hurting

chances of the starts at -10, etc. ? Teh coolant is also -10 if the thermometer reads -10 right?

Sucks but unless there is some place warm for him to take it I think he has to just wait for warmer temps to try again....
