Ok, real question. Will an aftermarket snub mount increase the life of the other engine mounts?

Or is it really just a driver preference for not having the engine/tranny rocking so much.

So just a driver preference? It definitely seems worth the $$...
for the smoothness alone, but I didn't know if it might help the life of the engine mounts in the long run. I'm only @ 44k miles, and with the short shift kit that I'm getting (V & S... when it gets here) I'd prefer the shifter not rock so much when I'm on and off the throttle.
And I don't have a place with a garage for another month...

i recommend snub mounts
like you said, they take a lot of play out of the drive train when shifting and getting on and off the throttle. not sure if they have any correlation to any other engine mounts. as i said, i would seriously doubt it. on a side note, i was in LI this past weekend. it was nice to be there. havent been there in a while

Good deal, thanks...
I'll look into getting one when I have the space (and time) to install it. I like the price/performance mods. I need to save my $$ for a house.
And I'm right over on the CT side of LI sound... good place to live, but man, I need a heated garage.
