By the time I had 15,000 miles on my P7000SS, they were SOOOO loud I couldn't even hear myself think
I have Kumho Ecsta Supra 712s now . They are so much quieter and handle great.

Just a thought, but if you don't really need all season tires...
Just stick with the Kumho's. They are $100/tire from Tirerack and Tires.com and they are in stock. With the money you'd save on tires by not buying the 7KSS's from your wheel guy, you can order the Kumhos from Tirerack and just pay for a local tire shop to mount the tires for you ($65-$80).
If you do need All-season's, you can always go with a Dunlop SP5000. Dunlop does not make the SP5000 in a 225/45R17, but they do have them in 235/45R17. There shouldn't be any problem with rubbing on those. I believe the Rogers have a similar offset as the stock S4 17x7.5" Avus wheels and they don't seem to rub on them. I believe the Avus wheel offset is a +40mm. Anyway, Tirerack has them for $120/tire. I think the SP5000 are a far superior tire than the P7000SS.
I have the Kumho Ecsta's on a 225/40R18 and I'm very pleased with them. I also have a set of Dunlop SP5000 on the OEM wheels in a 225/50R16, and am also very impressed with them. I guess my opinion is a little biased, but I can highly recommend both. Good luck!
