Hello,
longtime reader, infrequent poster.
While working on my new e-codes install (thanks santa/wife!) i found a broken hose that makes alotta noise when motor is runing. never noticed it before, maybe just finally came loose. im pretty sure this bit flows air.
anyway, here are a couple of terrible pics--does anyone know a part# or can i just find some steel braided line and attach it there?
and i *strongly* suspect that this is why i have been getting "system too lean" when i VAG it.
are Ed.p. and James Reedy avail?
oh, im sure you will let me know if the pics turn out to be purty red x's...

if it's the cloth covered line...
it is prob. the vac hose to the fuel pressure regulator. That can be easily replaced, and the hose could be bought from Pepboys or local auto parts store - just bring your to them. Don't forget to pick up some clamps as well.
