Default One more question

What is the difference with the S4 wheel liners? Why are they a desired mod? How much and how easy to install? Thanks again.

Default I really don't know, you must search the tech section...

...and look at some pics.
that's a "Body look" mod, I don't want to modify my A4 body

Default

It doesnt modify the "body look." The S4 liners are vented to allow more air in.

Default Re: it let the hot air in around your turbo..

I was looking into this mod myself. Is the main reason for the intercooler? Are both sides needed for the A4? I figured that since the S4 is twins that maybe only the drivers side was truly needed for the A4. (Given my 4-day old knowledge of the car, it looks like that is the intercooler that sits in front of the drivers front wheel well?)

Default it's a fender liner. sits inside the wheel well. it has vents to release hot...

air from around the intercooler. i did mine about a month ago. took about 10 mintues total time. it's cake. do it!

Default you only need the driver's side. the intercooler sits in front of...

the left front wheel. it's $32 from clair parts.

Default actually, it does nothing to relieve hot air around your turbo...

i guess it might do that a bit should you replace the passenger side liner, but the main purpose is to help cool the air around the intercooler.

Default s4 fender liner...lines passenger side...doesnt do much, just allows more air to come in the engine.

right below the turbo...which will add some cooling effect i believe.
