Drink bottled water
If they don't offer it, ask for water no ice.
Been there once, and have a good friend that lives part time there. Visit the Trailer Park restaurant, it's a seafood place in the middle of the residential area. Don't recall what street it's on, but it's AWESOME (a little pricey though).
Everything is Cabo is pretty expensive, as they cater to tourists, so be prepared. It's dirty, and dusty, and pretty humid. I'd stay at the Best Western. It's two blocks from the ocean, but brand new. (plus my friend owns it). Ask for Senor Ricky, and tell him his neighbor Mike sent you.
Try to ride the ATV's in the sand dunes. Just find a ATV rental shop, and have the tour guide take you up. It's blast if you've never been ATV'ing before.
There isn't much in terms of shopping, as it's mostly junk, and nick nacks. But there's plenty of good food, lots of beer, and make sure you try some "Mazana". It's an apple cider soda, made by Coca Cola. Only in limited supply in certain parts of the US, but can be had anywhere down there, it's a great drink.
Hope that helps!
