Pelican blue compares to what?
Hi all. This is my first post here.
I am getting ready to pre-order my 2001 A4 and am interested in Pelican Blue, but there aren't any around to get a real view of the color. Though very cool in the brochure I'm skeptical that it'll look as good in real life. Is it the same medium blue that I see on the Beetles and Jettas?
Thanks for the feedback.

No. However, it isn't so bad.
it's exactly what it looks like in the brochure. You may end up having people call the color "baby metallic blue" - hope you're confident enough to do it.
sorry, mine isn't pelican blue. I just wanted to convey what i've heard and saw.

Best A4 Color!
It is an amazing color...I don't think you will find anyone that says it looks the same as it does in pictures. You have to see it in pictures. I get too many compliments, everyone asks what kind of car is that? and when is A4, tey say oh it must be the new one, just because this color is so arare and beautiful. Actually my friends call it M&M blue! LOL

I too was skeptical

I liked the color a lot from the brochure. Then after I placed an order I saw one. I err, disliked the color. I stuck it out though, and am verry happy with what showed up.
The car I saw was a 97(?) 1.8T, with a funky interior. I did not like the how light the color looked in person.
However, the car I recieved is much darker, not quite as dark as in the brochure. Nor, is it as dark as the Beetle.
I think it looks best in a 2.8 Avant, chrome!

Bet you have more trouble finding a Sable Brown or Aquarell Blue/Green
I have seen both...they are REALLY rare...
BTW, I am speaking of the US...not other countries.
