Default Phone Jack in center console?
Does anyone know what the phone jack is for in the center console of my 98 Audi A4?? Can I use this for anything else?

It was for a factory handset, not sure if you could use it for anything else.

I dont understand how it would work. Is it hooked to an antenna, or was it just a power supply?

Probably just wired for it. There would have been an interface box somewhere, and the interface box would have run to an antenna. No other use for you, unless you want a .. car phone?

I think I saw on another forum, someone converted it into 2 usb ports to charge his electronics, looks pretty nice.
