please help..
- you can hear it very loud at 40-50kph but as you go fasterb then the noise gets slightly drowned out by the tire and wind noise but the nose remains.
- the grinding can be felt through the car and steering wheel.
- when you switch off the engine as you are doing 50kph the noise is still there.
- there is no grinding noise when stationary witht he engine in idle.
- there is no increase in noise when you take left or right hand "hard turns"
- all wheel bearings were changed 50k kms ago and checked recently by the garage mentioned below (although one drivers rear bearing is showing signs of play).
- the ECS ultimate timing belt kit was installed at 100K kms and I am now at 140K Kms
- the noise has been there for 8months now and has got progressively more noisy.
this is bugging me soooo bad. I took it to a well know garage near me and they could not figure it out!
now it's got to the point that I cringe everytime I jump in my car. I tested out a work collegue's new Civic today and it was so quiet compared to my grindy Audi that I almost considered getting rid of my car there an then.
I was hoping somebody could shed some light on what this could be as i do not have the time/cash to let a another garage do a few days diagnostic!
please help me not get a civic

Thanks all.
