my friend put a td04 on his vr6 gti and the thing runs 13's in street form. iirc the 2.8 and the vr6 engines is the exact same thing or very similar, dubheads been doing it for years. i guess it just takes longer to get to the more expensive cars. i'm sure u could do it, but i'd build the bottom end first or go with the rest of the 2.8 group and turn to pes for your answer for more HP.

S4 motor is mucho$$$$....dont forget you have to buy a motor and 2 turbo's and dual intercoolers.
Oh and have fun mating it up to your current driveshaft, I am pretty sure that it wont fit.

so will have to run low boost or rebuild the whole motor to bring down the stock compression. Then you have to tune the car running a AFC and boost controller. I dont think there is all that much room under the hood to put anything big and then lets not for get the $$$$ for 2 custom manifolds and 2 turbos. It will not be cheap.
