Default qtn about H&R coilovers
is there only one type of coilovers? i know there are H&R race/sport springs. what about the coilovers? tia

Default a coilover.. is a spring and shock which is mated together.. for adjustability
different than shocks and springs. you can adjust height.. you can adjust damper and spring rate on some... now what would you mean by is there only 1 coilover? if you are asking if there is only one company that makes them... answer is no... if your asking different types.. yes there are... there are actual springs and coils that slip over your existing shocks.. (not recommended for audis. its a rice thing)

Default okay thanks, thats what i thought, but.............
i was talking to 'Chard' and he said something about if i was getting the S4 or the 1.8 version?

why would you get the S4 coilover? spring rate is much too high.. it has to support the engine..

There's the regular and ultra low coilovers. Some people run the S4 co's on their A4s.

Default H&R has 2 part numbers, 1 for the S4 and 1 for the 1.8TQ.
I believe the only difference is the spring rate.
