question...12v vs. 30v

wondering what the differences engines... obvious one is 30v instead of 12v... but what are the other differences...
i have the 12v obviously... just wondering how different aftermarket parts are as far as fit and bolting up... any comments or suggestions let um be know...

would do more research and find out for myself but do to me having hardly anytime to do so i turn here and see what you all know...

update to my query...

would something like a head swap be possible... or are the bottom ends diff... just kinda wondering things like these... i guess i'd really like to do the 2.7t but i have a while before i can afford that.. going to school and working a ****ty job doesn't help with money flowage...

anyone know how had it would be to swap a 2.7t into a 96 B5...
