The most logical way to go...
That's what I'll be doing. I've got my 1.8t and in a little over 2 years it'll be paid for, then I'll buy my Porsche, which I've started researching. I'm planning on an '84 911 Targa, but will see what's available in my price range when the time comes.
Regards,
Rodney
'99 A4 1.8tqms

For the same price (around $40,000), you can accomplish the same goals. (more)
Not to mention you don't have to do it in one lump sum. I spent $28k on my 1.8t, in a couple of years I'll buy a Porsche 911 (probably an '84 since that's when they started useing the Motronic engine management) for around $15k (hopefully, year and model will depend on funds). I will then have an excellent, reliable, fun, safe, all weather car capable of transporting myself and a couple of passengers, and/or plenty of luggage, etc; AND a true sports car to go out and play with in good weather and on weekends. All for the same price as an S4.
Idealy, if I could spend as much as I wanted, my two primary cars (there would be others) would be an S6 and a new 911 C4. But, that's not realistic right now.
Regards,
Rodney
'99 A4 1.8tqms
