Re: Good luck in the future.. hope you come back one day.. even if it's a B7 :)
i've heard some pretty bad things about the new tl's, probably more bad than good. here's a post i read on af:
"Well, on paper TL is definitely a catch. The car has a lot of value, and I like the style and interior very much. It's nicely presented. If I have to choose between Audi and Acura base on styling (exterior/interior), it surely would be a hard decision. And yes you (clconversion) are right that "it just looks way to plasticy." Acura tried to cut cost, so they used 3rd grade materials... that's not a problem at all. My first month of my ownership was quit smooth. Everything was expected and more. That came to an end after the first month. I began to experience hard start. What that means is the ignition had to crank up 5 times to start the car. My steering vibrates a lot at idle, which I am not so sure if it's normal. The car doesn't ride nicely, and that's probably the contribution from the driveline vibration at certain speed. I can tolerate all those "minor problems" because I know no car is perfect. However, the only thing I cannot tolerate is the stupid rattle. The finish on the car is good, but the fit is worse than a CIVIC. I am not exaggerating my last statement either, and it's sad but true. The rattle I have experienced is dependant on the temperature. Sometime it rattles a lot in the warm climate, and it's hard to pin point the problems. I went in for a service and tried to fix some of the rattle problems... that didn't work and I know it's hard to fix. I am not planning to live with problem cause I expect a little bit more for a 33K car. So in general... "you get what you pay" and that's probably true for the most part. I have learned my lesson. 04-05 Acura TL is not recommended."

I have had 3 acuras in my family, and I have not, nor have my family members had problems like that.... I sure hope my TL is not like that.
Thanks for the heads up! I will have no problem turning it back in if there is a real problem......
