Default Seat Position, Steering Wheel Position, Etc...

I have had my 1.8 for 9 months now, and still haven't found a great seating position. No back pain or anything like that, just having a hard time finding a comfortable combination with my hands at 10 and 2. I always feel like the wheel is either to close or too far away, my legs are either scunched up or stretched out to far. Either setting to high or two low. I'm 5'11", 165lbs. Any suggestions. Not a big deal, but with nothing else wrong with my car, had to complain about something. I don't have sport seats. Thanks.
klutes 98.5 Silver 1.8TQMS, SP4000's, Leatherette

Took me a while to 'fit-in' too, but now it's fine. I initially felt that the clutch travel was too long relative to the gas/brake pedal positions.
Tom

Default Need a seat position memory ...

I had the same problem except that it bothered my back. If you find a position somewhat comfortable then stick with it. I was constantly adjusting trying to find the right position. I have a 2.8 with the power so you can micro-adjust it to death. The worst part about it is that you lose the setup if someone else drives. Come on Audi, get a seat position memory feature. I finally have it the way I like it and I'm not letting anyone touch those controls.
Mark (98.5 2.8 QMS)

Default Less than two weeks experience but....

I think I'm as close to the optimum position as I
can get. My initial setting put the seat high so
I looked over the hood. My arms were comfortable
but the top of the steering wheel blocked the turn
signal indicators.
I've lowered the seat a little now (can just see
the indicators) and it feels like a much better
driving position. I have a better relationship
with the car. However, as a result, my arms are
more outstretched and it requires more effort
to keep them there.
I'll keep experimenting, but I think I'm close to
the best position for me. I'm just going to have
to get in better shape to combat the arm fatigue.
John
99.5 silver 1.8tqms, leatherette

Default Audi had it in old 90/Coupe Quattro models, prob. dropped it to save some $$$ on car price

Then again, the sticker price on my old 1990 Coupe Quattro (10-way power driver and passenger seats w/ 4 position memory) was about as much as my 98.5 Avant's!

Default Yes! Exactly! Thank You for Mentioning This...

Any car with power seats must have some way to store positions that take hours to achieve. My wife and I sit very differently in the car and the seat is just too damn adjustable to replicate preferred *** alignments!

Seat memory? I refuse to let anyone else drive the Audi. They can get their own!
