I have a 1999 a4 b5 1.8t quattro automatic. It seems very slow on acceleration from a stop and seems to struggle. Car runs perfectly fine other then the sluggish acceleration. Any idea what's happening? Its definitely not the cat/ downpipe that's all new .along with oxygen sensors . Car was running with straight pipe from turbo to mufflers and no oxygen sensors. And it was running the same

How many miles since last timing belt change? Might have skipped a tooth.

Double check that your filters are good. If they are, examine your timing belt. You don't want that thing slipping off or breaking while your're driving because it will do expensive engine damage. I would do a tune up and oil change as well if you just bought it.
