Default Smoked Taillight Opinions

I am currently running those smoked crystal taillights that you can get on ebay for around $160. The thing is, during the day, the glass is not smoked enough and you can see the red , white, and orange inside the light. I have 3 options I thought of:

1. Buy some tinting spray and tint the stock 96 tails.

2. Same idea but just spray like 1 coat of the stuff on the crystal ones and hope that makes them dark enough.

3. Stop whining about something little like that and leave them the way they are.

Thanks everybody.

Default smoked tail lights cut down on the ability for people to see your braking

Not a fan of them

safety more important than just being different. And no they do not look better - just different

Default Agree. I have seen liability go the opposite way due to those lights...

Some insurance companys will fight rear end accidents if the front car in the accident has those illegal rear light on the rear. In most states they are illegal. Some states you may think they are legal, but they are not. There is a few ways it is written in the code book, but the most common is a statement that means: it is illegal to customize the lights on the vehicle in such a way that diminishes the projection below OEM original equipment. Not a smart move to use those on the street. OEM looks better also.
