So it finally happened - Dashboard Display is dying...
On a hot day, parts of my dashboard display (specifically the part that shows radio stations, track number, etc) is starting to fade. I recall postings on here many years ago in regards to this common problems.
Would anyone be able to help me find those articles on how to fix or cope with this problem?

Some people had claimed that cleaning out the electrical connectors on the plugs helped.
Placebo though in my opinion. The thing has been flaky on mine the last 3-4 years. No way am I spending money to replace it though. I just turn it off unless I need information from the comp.

I'm working with a module repair shop, he's currently trying to source the driver.
and the ribbon cable/display from a supplier in china.
We did find a source hopefully a good fix that will be in the future.
