So, I'm driving along when...
...I need to get over and this Rice-mobile won't let me in. So I push my way in and he gets all pissed and starts tailgating me, so I let him see what German engineering can do.
Anyway, so I slow down so he can see the Audi rings some more, and then speed up, at which point I have to slam on my brakes as I see the rear of a cop car quickly approach my front...
Rice-boy made a sudden right....
Anyway, so I did my stupid for the day. Luckily. the cop either didn't notice or had better things to do....

Well... (a bit long)
I have mixed feelings about that...
The factory tip is slow -- about 1 second to shift. It would disengage, slip about for 0.5 to 1 second, then re-engage.
With the chip, you pull the lever, there is a pause where nothing happens for about a 1/4 second, then it releases and rengages in a 1/4 second or so.
So, I find it shifts faster than a manual, but you still need to anticipate your shift a tad more than you would with a stick.
While I love the car on the highway, launches are still slow unless you do one of those brake-throttle launches, which just can't be great for the tranny. Also, you can notice the extra 100 lbs. at times. Much less parasitic power loss with the chip, though.
Finally, i have been looking into having the tranny rebuilt by Level Ten. They claim to be able to eliminate the low-RPM power loss, allow for virtually instantaneous shifts, and also allow the tip to take up to 400 HP. If I have that done, you will definitely see a post or twenty on the topic.
Ok, enough from me. i hope that answers your question. Sorry for being so long winded..
