Default So now that every 04 A4 1.8T Quattro will have a 6-speed tranny....
all we need to do is wait for people to crash and scavenge the junk yards for parts.....


04 A4 Sports are also said to have alum. trim.

And Audi has finally adopted Satellite Radio..

Does anyone have more info on the 04 A4's?

an extra gear with no extra power is pretty useless, IMO.

Default ecstuning canned their upgrade too.......
Do you think they are doing it to be competitive?

All the new cars have 6-speed tranny... accord, acura, even us spec..

Default top speed restrictions increased?
I guess it depends on the actual ratios they use..

yup, but if you want to pass someone or go uphill, you'll have to downshift to 5th or 4th.

they'll still electronically limit the top speed to 130mph for US market.
