some spark plug issues...
here're my current plugs: BKR7E, gapped to .028... setup's in the sig. there are probably 3-4k miles on these plugs.

Finding 7Es locally is hard... impossible even (everywhere has to special order them)... and the shipping cost online is ridiculous!
Everywhere seems to have the 6Es...
It's also been suggested that I use the Bosch F5DP0R, which I found for $14/piece, but replace much more infrequently -- assuming they run well; otherwise that's $60 right down the crapper.
Should I get another set of 7Es? try 6Es and do some logs? Pony up the cash and get the Bosch? There's so much negative feedback about the Platinum plugs...
*le sigh* -- if anyone's got a PC16 setup that's running well, i'd love to hear what plugs you're using.

brisks should run about the same $$ as the bosh if not even cheaper
at least thats what i was quoted like a month ago when i went through my sparkplug ordeal.
i am running the r6e's now gapped to .30 or so and still have some slight misfire when its really really cold out there for the 1st couple feet. the cheapo autolites never had any issues

kragen in san diego has them at their main warehouse, not really special order but if you get to a
kragen early enough in the day they can get them back to that retail branch same day.

Beru Ultra X is all you need. =-)
The 1.8T likes the multiground electrode path. Isn't the Bosch an India plug now and not German anymore? I heard the plug quality is lower now with those. I know you would be fine with Beru Ultra X.

i'd run 6Es.
i had 7Es on both regular K04 and J31 programs and they would foul up so quickly. i drive the car almost everyday in traffic, city, etc and 7Es are just not ideal for those situations. They are good if you push your car all the time (like at the track). i switched to 6Es and the car would warm up so much faster and the plugs would foul up less. i had some issues with fueling so the last set i pulled out last night was black as hell (and would badly misfire).
