Something very interesting I found and wanted to share....
I was reading an article about the cell phone makers and the president of Siemens had some very good quotes...
Personalization is key
Unlike PCs, which thrive on their use of uniform, interchangeable hardware components, mobile phones must be individualized for particular types of users, Zapf said. He compared this thinking to the way Audi and VW cars use the same chassis, driving costs down, but are marketed to completely different buyers.
"The one who is buying an Audi is thinking he has the best technology in the world. The one who is buying a VW thinks he has reliable technology that is lower-cost because of high volume," he said. "What is inside (a handset), such as the kind of microcontroller, is not really an issue for the end user. They want location-based services, or a particular kind of MMI (man-machine interface)... this is how the handsets are differentiated."
If you want to see the whole article here's a link<ul><li><a href="http://zdnet.com.com/2100-1103_2-999440.html">Link</a></li></ul>

whoaaa.. that guy is a *** for writing that and obviously not even knowing a damn thing about Audi's
BMW's make you pay extra for freegan leather seats!! And their AWD system sucks and is not standard like Audi. Also have you noticed how many manuf. are coping Audi's styling and performance aspects, I mean look at the new Saab's which are now partially owned by and American company, the look almost like the B6 A4's. Audi has come a long way and many manufactures know it. So what Audi/VW had a little CP problem at least the we don't have SUV's that have bad tires that flip over and kill people. Nuff said, I am done venting.
