Default Squeaky rear strut diagnosis, result of accident damage

There is a squeak from that portion of the car now, pretty much constantly over even fairly even surfaces. If I get out and push down on the car while it is sitting still, it squeaks.

I'm assuming it's from the strut that was not replaced. (none of them were). Could this be due to a bent or blown strut? Any other likely causes? I was thinking perhaps an ungreased sway bar bushing or something but I wouldn't be causing that much motion just pushing down lightly on the rear of the car I'd think.

Thanks for any help.

Default Make them take it back and pinpoint the squeek. Once it's up in the air it should be fairly easy.

Man, that picture is just hard to look at. For those who don't realize it, that's the rear wheel!

Those were supposedly replaced with new units.

Wow thanks for pointing that out. Didn't notice the gas door at first.

Default The rear arms? did they torque the bushings loaded, or hanging?

that could be the problem too.. There are any number of places it could be coming from..

Default If they didn't replace the rear shock there is a pretty good chance it bent.

There are 4 bolts the hold the upper shock to the frame of the car. If they didn't rip out it had to bend the shock to allow the suspension to move that far back. Remember too to have them replaced as a pair.
