Have you ever changed the tranny fluid?

Again...goes back to LaR H 88's suggestion (a good one!)...

Had my fluid replaced earlier this winter; still grinding 1-2 when cold. Could mine be synchros?

I've got an extended warranty and would LOVE to have them tear the tranny but I don't know if it's just the clutch or the synchro.

Has anyone ever had the situation improve with a clutch replacement?

It doesn't have anything to do with clutch

If we are talking about the same problem, the clutch is fully depressed, you are trying to take the shift stick from 1 to 2. And unless you wait in the middle for a while, it doesn't want to go into 2. IOW 1st to Neutr to 2nd no problem, from 1st to 2nd directly, problem. I ain't no expert, but while all this is happening clutch is disengaged, nothing to do with it.
