system 1 bank running lean in my '00 1.8t. what can cause this fault code?
i searched but most of the problems talked about after someone modded their cars. this fault, along with an intermittent O2 sensor, randomly showed up. nothing has been worked on besides an oil change, and this occured 1000 miles later.
any ideas?
im thinking fuel filter since it has not been changed for a while
TIA

Vac hose on the front of the intake manifold has a tendency to fall apart
right at the manifold connection. That will cause a lean code. Bad vac hose on the fuel pressure regulator could also cause it. Bad MAF as well. Replace the vac hoses and go from there.
