Was there a "sport" package offered in 96? Anybody want to sell their (more)

96-00 springs/shocks? How much do they lower the car? Is the ride much stiffer than what I have now?

No "sport" package offered in 1996.....

First year for a "sport" package was 1997 on the 1.8T model only. But, it did not include any suspension changes. It only had:

1) 3-spoke Sport steering wheel
2) Sport seats trimmed in Jacquard Satin cloth
3) 16" 5-spoke alloys with all-season "touring" tires.
