well i can tell you from experience that 18's arent a good idea for winter its the width and tread
they are quite wide and the majority of Z rated tyres have directional tread. which is good for water but crap on snow ice and slush.
the only isometric tread pattern i can name in 18" is pirelli P Zero Nero.
which is what i have. winter before last i had my Falken 451's and i got stuck akot

sure they do, Hankock P300
Almost all the big tire manufacturers make wintertires in 18" and some of them in 19" and 20" too
I've found studded tires up to 17" and some of the tires in the bigger sizes are studdable if you want that
The trouble is finding tires that are narrow enough to fit the 18"x8" Superturismos
