Trunk operation

I am having one heck of a hard time figuring out the trunk operation! How do you open it with the key? I can only open it with the central locking! The manual doesn't help much!

Turn it to the right two times. That should unlock both the trunk and the doors...I think. Me, I use the dongle even when I'm standing there ;-).Steve

Turn the key to the right in the trunk lock. This unlocks the trunk, but does not open it. You still have to push the button to open it.In the stock setup this should only unlock the trunk, and when you close the trunk again the alarm should reset (you'll here the beep).I've had the security system reprogrammed to unlock everything with one push of the remote button. This also means that turning the trunk key to the right once unlocks everything, therefore when I close the trunk again it does not lock anything and I have to push the remote button again to do this and reset the security system.Mine is a 98 1.8TQMS
