Default turbo problem?

My wife's 1999 A4 1.8T quattro recently had a CEL and two codes:
17965 "charge pressure controlositive deviation" and
17544 "long term fuel trim add fuel (bank 1)".
I quickly determined that the vacuum line between the DV and the intake manifold was split, so I replaced it with a new one and cleared the DTC with my VAG COM. On the test drive I noticed the turbo doesn't spool up either. It runs quietly and smoothly, but no guts! I cleaned the diverter valve (although it was free)and that didn't help. Is there any way I could have set something in the engine controller that would have disabled the turbo? No more codes have been thrown. Any ideas where to look next?
Thanks in advance...

Pressure test. If one vac line was split open, they probably all are. lol

Is "limp mode" something other than a thrown DTC with CEL on? If so, what does one do to clear "limp mode"? Have VAG COM at the ready! All other hoses look OK, but will cobble up some kind of pressure test, I suppose...

log blocks 003 and 020, see how much air you're flowing (maf), or get a boost gauge
