what was your budget?
I've got polished mirrors... not sure if I want
to sell them though, considering it's over
$1,000 to get the auto dimming mirrors with the
polished housing from the dealer.

um... my budget is real low... I wasn't looking to spend more than about 160...
then in the last 2 minutes the auctions skyrocketed to 200 each(before that they each were at 41 dollars for a couple days). I know, I was dreaming

i wouldn't be surprised if they sold for over $500 each... if it's the whole assembly.
last I checked, the glass is like $150ish,
alum housing is around $400ish, motor is another
$150 or so, the thingy to hold em on the car is
like $50, so dealer cost (what audi dealers pay for em) on two mirrors is probably
close to about $1,500. Sorry to burst your
bubble, but you might just want to take your
housings off and get them chrome dipped instead.
Or, try going to a metal shop with your housing.
See if they'll make an alum version of the housing.
You can polish it up yourself with a lot of metal
polish, a buffer, and time.
