Vacuum hose

Oetiker single ear clamp (part # N-100-911-01)...
shown with a pair of nipper pliers (what I *hope* I'm supposed to use to pinch that ear shut when I've got it over the vacuum hose). My dealer charged me $1.35 ea (list is $2.25 ea.).

Vacuum hose is listed as part # N-020-353-5. Price is $8.19/meter at my dealer (list is $11.47/meter). Yeah, WAY overpriced. I have to imagine that the cloth sheath will help keep the rubber from melting over the intake manifold (but I'm not really sure why Audi uses it, vs. standard black rubber vacuum hose).
