Default VENTING!!!!!!!!!!! HELP...questions inside...

1...2...3...4...5...ok, now I can speak rationally...sort of. I dropped my car off Monday to have the rear bumper, hood, front 1/4's and the all the lower balck molding painted. I was in Pittsburgh (the new Pirates stadium is sweet) all week and went in to pick my car up this morning. The front end and hood were perfect but the valences on the sides were painted a flat black instead of silver!@#! WTF? They realized the f'd up and said they could have it ready by 5, so I shrugged it off and went to work. When I returned to pick up the car the sides were silver but they also painted the lowest parts of the frame silver so they are just glaring out from under the car...these ghastly rough edges!@#!@# Upon further inspection the whole freakin car is covered in overspray!!!! I am so freakin pissed. I took the car for the weekend but it is totally ****ed!

Can the overspray be buffed out or is the paint totally ****ed?

It's on the chrome, windows, roof rails...everywhere. I am so bummed. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Default No problem, overspray comes off pretty easy with a little elbow grease.

Paint the undersides your self. You could even brush paint it ,the texture is so rough nobody would notice.

Default elbow grease...for $1200.00 they will be doing the elbow grease...

but I'm glad to know it is repairable...they will also be fixing the under coat as I will be stopping payment on the check to ensure the job is completed. The overspray covers 80 % of the car and that is why I refuse to attempt the repair..it is simply unacceptable. I thank you for your support...by the way, the stuff they did right looks SHWEEEEET!!

Default Know how you feel. I had a guy paint a trailer and my car was covered in black overspray.

No more effort required than waxing your car.

Default Try a thin black undercoating like WURTH

high build underseal it drys almost like paint but will not peel. The WURTH part # is 8909071, I have just installed all of the S4 pieces on my car & used i in several places. Works great. I feel for your disappointment!
As far as the shinny side I have no advise, Sorry!
