Painted lower valance pic request - silver car... :-)
Hi:
Still toying with what to do to fix my scuffed rear bumper. The bumper's not bad, could just take a repaint, but there's like a dime size mark in the black plastic section and just can't see dropping $1K to replace and then have to do the exhaust work again (even though I would go to 02 would still have to make the cut outs as I have oval tips). Toying with the idea of having the lower valance painted to match. Have seen it on a dark car, would like to see it on a silver car.
What is the consensus on something like this.

It's too bad you didn't post this earlier. There was a Silver A6 on eBay.de that had a..
painted lower valance, but the auction ended already 
Oh well... Even though I don't have a silver car, you should do it IMO. My body shop didn't even charge me extra for it, since they were painting the bumper anyways. Who knows...your shop may do the same

I think the painted valence makes the bumper look taller...
...I would not go out of my way to have that done, but I think is looks okay. I've seen a color matched valence in the Ming Blue, and it did look better than the silver.
