Changed oil in the car for the first time last night, the filter I removed was a 078115561D, the dealer sold me a 078115561J, which is at least an inch shorter, but fits in terms of thread, etc. What's the scoop? The same dealer changed the oil before, now they give a different filter? Part supercession?

Also, after filling up w/ 6 quarts of Mobil synthetic blend 5w30, the dipstick still reads just barely above the 'low' mark. Per the capacity specs, 6 quarts should do it with a filter change...
