Saw a local TV news segment a few days ago which stated that LAPD was going to start cracking down on drivers without front license plates. They stated it's a fix-it ticket, something like $31 (I think). The reason cited was that lack of front license plates throws off the automated photographic red light systems.

Up here in N.Cal I have not heard about any crack downs. I don't plan to add a plate, they can kiss my elbow!

Also heard that the plate helps laser by providing a flat surface to reflect......I don't want one!

Leave the plate in your front windshield (or quickly put it there) if you get stopped from behind

I got ticketed last week in venice. $10 fee after you fix it. Irritating!
