Nylon is fine and you can buy it at any local auto parts store. Oil pressure kit is the same thing.

Default Get the white 1/8 plastic tubing like they sell... and then...

run it down through the crack between the dash and A-pillar, then get a brass fitting (I got one at sears hardware) that converts the 1/8 tubing to a 3/16" hose fitting. I would then run quality 3/16 vacc tubing through the firewall, through the ECU box... clip the rubber knobbies and through the firewall...

Default honestly...

I would not run that material into the engine compartment... it will melt easily. Not to mention that it looks sloppy (IMHO - No Offense).

I only ran it from the guage to under the dash, then converted it (via another brass fitting) to 3/16" vacc line.

Default none taken.. it does look messy, but as for the melting problem

i'm not worried about that... i wrapped it in friction tape then some duct tape.

Default Messy depends on where you run it to. As far as melting .. the plastic transition temperature of

nylon is well above that of most plastic items under the hood. Unless you drape it over the exhaust manifold or turbo it won't melt.
That said for asethic reasons, I too converted from the nylon to vac tubing before reaching the engine bay.
