What the the T-28 non dbw holding for boost in 3rd?

In theory .. yes. The issue might become one of delivering adequte fuel for the increased density
air and volume of air(if boost is maintained as the density increases). Having large enough injectors to fuel at high boost with cold dense air would likely result in injectors too large to idle properly .. especially as temps rose. I've seen some dual injector setups where the second set only fire at x rpm or above. Not seen an Audi w/ that set up tho ..

The problem would be that you would have to tune a chip for different
temp levels and no tuner is going to do that.
The maf does how ever read the colder air temp and adds the amount of fuel it needs since the MAF only heats a element to check air flow. Only bad thing is that the MAF only does this at part throttle on a non dbw car, while it does it all the time on a DBW.
