Default What's up with the Audi dealers in the Bay Area?

AB Audi in San Jose wants me to wait almost 2 months for a 5000 mile service and my car is now at 5300 miles and no service until end of Dec 2000! Carlsen Audi at Palo Alto is slightly better with a 1 month wait. This means I should schedule my 10,000 mile service now....This kind of service makes me wonder if Audi is a good buy afterall.

Default The only upside of the A4 is driving it. Everything else such as customer service, tech service, (m)

reliability, parts availability, etc. just plain _sucks_.

From what owners are saying here about 2001 models, the oil filter is replaced every other oil change! If you get a service appointment, that is.

Also, I think the tech service department is closed on weekends for most delaerships. That's a joke.

What is there to really service before 50k anyway?

Default i had that same problem because i needed a loaner

my car is in the shop right now for its 15k service...it has over 17K, which means I should start looking around for an appointment for its 20K service pretty soon. I wonder if there are any delerships that offer free loaners in the south bay...

Yep, it sucks... I now make my next appointment when I pick up my car.

Default Just wondering about Diablo...

I don't live up in Nor Cal but I was on Bart going to SF when I saw a Porsche dealer from the train. Is the Audi dealer nearby or on the same lot?

Default Audi had better take care of this or my A4 will be the last one I own

It is absolutely ridiculous to be required to wait 2 months for scheduled service. I would cringe to think what the wait for emergency service is.

Default Last week I called Royal Motors in SF to schedule 6 mo. service

and they could take the car any day (!).
I do not know how good they are, and there is not much feedback about them on this forum. I decided to try them anyway. I scheduled the appointment for the end of November.

I did not ask for the loaner since I work within walking distance.

Since I have family in Sacramento, I had my 30K done on a Sat. at Niello.
