why has my E-codes just above the turn signals on each light melted?

Default why has my E-codes just above the turn signals on each light melted?
i am using the original bulb.

Default Same thing happened to mine. Dealer says a lot of BS, but they said that the E-Code corners should
be used as turn signals (i.e. blinkers). The always on function that the US corners is served by the city lights. I learned from that experience and had to buy a pair of new housings.

it looks like im gonna buy some new housings, but what did u do to remedy this from happening again

Default I hooked up the city lights, which is the little bulb right by the highbeams, and then
used the corners only for blinkers. I haven't had a problem with it so far. FYI, I sold my used set on ebay for about $350. So getting it fixed only costed me a difference of about $150.
