So like always I've been pretty tied up lately, but i have found time to completely fit the headlights, shave the bumper, and reshape the hood (which was a huge mission). Next task will be the fenders and the gap between the bumper. i'll hurry, i promise. Here's some starter pics, oldest first.

So again, I apologize for delaying the final product so much lately....Now that i'm full time with Accuair Suspension and with the 2010 SEMA show coming soon, it's very hard to find time to work on this project. Anyway with quite a bit of help i was able to eliminate one of the major fender gaps around the headlights. I'm alright with fiberglass but not the greatest when it comes to welding. I also made two molds and fiberglassed some pieces for the left over gap down to the bumper. Here's a few updated, but rough shots, i'll post some cleaned up pics and some more with the last gap filled as well.

Okay SEMA is over, so now i can focus a little more on FINISHING this project. Here's a couple updates....went a little wider all around and got some really good poly-primer on the fenders hood and trunk lip so i can start blocking for paint.

Hey guys, I'm alive. Work is crazy lately causing some major changes in my plans. I can't give away any current pics just yet but here are some old progress shots that i forgot to post along the way. Don't worry, i haven't given up on this thing just yet. I'm actually very close at this point but am holding off on posting pics.
Picture just before I went slightly wider all around
Had some issues with the rear lip i ordered so i decided to heat up the stock lip and shape / mold it how i wanted. then i just molded the bumper in on each side, leaving the appearance of a stock diffuser like the newer a4's and s5.
(before)
(during)
(more during)
just before i began molding...
begining stages of joining the bumper to the lower valence
Heres a shot after molding but still in the very rough stages. the bumper isn't connected on the sides....thats why it looks like it doesn't match up right.
Heres my last teaser preview for now....stay tuned! i might sneak in some taillight conversion pictures soon

PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING TO THIS THREAD:
Ok, so this is probably the 5th forum I'm posting my project on....and i know how it goes.
1) You might like it
2) Maybe you'll like it when it's widebody and finished with paint
3) You absolutely hate it
I'm not interested in comments by viewer #3
TRUST ME i love the b5 body in every way, thats why i have two of them. THIS car is a spare for me and i'm jumping into this project simply to do something different and turn some heads/ideas. Everything up to this point has cost me approximately $160 total.
No offense to those who do this.....but i'm not going to follow the leader and smoke my tails, spray paint my wheels black, de-badge my emblems, and slap an rs4 bumper on it....i'm gonna play.

I've never seen anyone do that!
Looks nice, the front looks a little like the a3 with the hood like it is. I'm very interested to see this progress! Good luck w it all!
