Will seats from a 2001 B5 fit a 96? My drivers seat is getting a little worn on the edges

Default Will seats from a 2001 B5 fit a 96? My drivers seat is getting a little worn on the edges

Been to the salvage yard but all teh A4's they have are 2000 or 2001's

Default I just put 97 seats in my 00, so I would assume yes

the only thing that didnt' jive was the plug for the seatbelt sensor was different between these years. The is the sensor that lets the car know if the belt is plugged in or not. Actually, WJM let me know that without this plug in, the seatbelt light goes off anyway. Mine comes on for about a second. I guess having an open circuit disables the funtion itself.

I can't see any reason why they won't work.
