Default Windshield Wiper/Washer Problem

Hello. The other say my washers weren't working, so I tried again today and they worked but now my windshield wipers don't work. I changed the fuse, and they still don't work. Does anyone have any ideas? Please help, I have no idea. Thanks.

Have they not been used for a while?

Any problems with your ignition barrel?. The casing on my barrel is cracked, this means the key doesn't return to the standard running position and in turn not all of the stearing column functions work properly, lights, indicator (turn signal or blinkers I think you guys call them). Another symptom was that my lights wouldn't go on full.
I have to flick the key back manually to resume normal running. If not then maybe a short / open circuit?

Default try turning them on pulling the lever all the way up to the fatest speed..

then pull it back down to the slowest speed. Sometimes that switch burns out and needs replacing.

I think the barrel, and everything else is fine. One of my headlights went out last week, but I just replaced it.

They were probably used about a week before it happened. It just snowed here, and there was a layer of ice on my windshiled so I don't know if that has anything to do with it.

Default When you turn them on....can you hear the motors?

Put your hood up, turn on the wipers with the engine off.

Get out of your car and see if you can hear the motors running.

If they are and the wipers don't move....the gears may have been stripped. You said you had ice recently. Did you happen to turn the wipers on then and were the arms stuck to the windshiled by ice?

Just a thought.

Yea, I think they were stuck to the ice. I am going to try to see if I can hear the motors. Thank you very much.
