Default woot - got my car back from the body shop...

Looking at it closely, the silver used doesn't quite match the original - less blue, but hardly noticeable. Hmmm, maybe this was for the S4 in their shop hehe.

Ah! he painted the whole bumper so I ask for him to paint under the plastic pieces on the sides. I just wanted to see how it would look silver under black. Cost is $100 only anyway.

Here's the front - wait, he didn't paint it.

hmmm, what are those on the ground?

Thanks Steve S for these freebies. Oops, overpaint. Well, I told them to paint the entire thing since I am knocking out those grilles and putting my own mesh anyway.
<img src="http://home.earthlink.net/~ego69/_images/S4_grille.jpg">

I had to go back and pick up the newly painted S4 bumper shell - freebie from my friend Dave. Funny, I never thought I wound have the car returned like this. Driving home with the painted rear bumper did make the car perform almost like an S4 Ok, maybe not, but there was a souped up Accord who just stayed on my tail and was probably confused.

Ok, another A4 -&gt; S4 wannabe ;P But I won't be putting in the bumper until I finish adding a few more items, like my home made splitters on the ends, and changing the grilles. The shop gave me some paint too.

I got a new Remus too. Time to take it to the dealer for sunroof work.

Here's a funny story. When I picked up the rental Mazda Protege, I prepaid for a full tank of gas - $19. I returned it today with the needle way below the 'E'. Since the Hertz guy was going to drive me to the body shop after, he needed to use a car. And the one I returned was the only one they had. After checking the car, he said he needs to put gas first, because he didn't want us to stall on the freeway - haha. Guess how much gas he put in? 13.7 gallons - $23.08. No wonder I smelled fumes ;P

Default no they're just sitting in storage. These are my dyno wheels since the MAE's are heavy and have

235/40's on them. When I'm done. I should have a lookalike RS4 side skirts, and I'll put the MAE's back on for updated pics. I'll also reinstall the headlight

Default Re: Looks good!

I had my whole S4 front grills painted too and knocked them out.

It'll look pretty mean with the bigger and lower S4 front on.

Now stop being a pretty boy and finish what you started under the hood!
Time to put the engine and tranny back in FINALLY this weekend. Engine is meaner then ever now...had a few extras thrown in there:-)

Default For the body shop, it's TGIF in Fremont. For everything else, I just work in the garage.

The car runs good - thanks to oil in the turbo but the dyno run with the nitrous on broke my adjustable fuel pressure regulator - because the nitrous nozzle was clogged up, and the nitrous just went through the vacuum hoses. So car is running very rich because I hooked the stock one back to drive to the body shop. Other than that, it's making boost at low rpms, but I need a smaller turbine to spin it faster at high rpms.
I'm doing junkyard research because until I know what works, I don't want to shell out a grand.

I've got my eye on a new ball bearing T28 though as it seems to be the best for my application at the right price. Right now, I have a straight T3.
